Position Description
A leading law firm is currently seeking a Costs Negotiator to join their Bolton office. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating costs related to RTA, EL, and PL matters.
Key Requirements:
- A minimum of 12 months of experience in a similar costs negotiator role, whether in a claimant or defendant capacity.
- Previous experience in client liaison, ensuring effective communication throughout the negotiation process.
- Proficiency in preparing Points of Dispute and considering replies.
- Previous experience in handling an individual caseload.
- Understanding of the Detailed Assessment process, Cost Case Laws, and familiarity with Insurance Litigation practice and processes.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree and/or LPC (Legal Practice Course) and/or ALCD (Association of Law Costs Draftsmen) qualifications are desirable.
- Experience in conducting own advocacy adds value to the role.
