Why?
Have you identified why you’re looking for a new role? Do you know what has made you feel ready to move on? Whether it’s re-aligning with your career goals or thinking about retraining – make sure that you know why it is that you want a new role.
What can your current employer do?
Sometimes, there is a simple resolve. Chatting with your current employer about what would make your role more satisfying can solve a lot of problems. You might be in the right place but looking to take on more responsibility, wanting to up-skill or feeling a bit of imposter syndrome. See if this can be resolved in-house first of all. It may save you a lot of time and hassle – particularly if you find a new role but get counter offered by your current firm!
Can you revitalise your love for your job?
If it’s simply that you’re feeling bored or stagnant – what can you do to find the love for your job again? Looking at your options or diversifying your working week with different projects could be the answer!
Talk to a recruiter
