Position Description

A growing law firm in Lancaster is seeking a Trainee Legal Assistant to join their financial litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent law/LPC graduates who are keen to gain experience in the legal profession and join a firm that has exciting plans for the future. The firm has a structured training programme in place for its new generation of fee earners and offers routes to qualification in due course.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior fee earners and support them in handling a varied caseload of financial litigation matters. This is a fully office-based role, which will allow the candidate to gain the training and support needed at the early stages of their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting senior fee earners in handling a varied caseload of financial litigation matters.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents.
  • Assisting with client meetings and conferences.
  • Maintaining accurate records and filing systems.


  • A degree in law or completion of the Legal Practice Course (LPC).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
