Position Description
A leading law firm in Manchester is looking for an experienced Risk & Compliance Executive to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in compliance and civil litigation to play a key role in mitigating regulatory risks and exposures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) in handling claims, complaints, Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), and associated litigation.
- Support the COLP in mitigating regulatory risks and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.
- Manage compliance-related tasks and ensure that internal processes are up-to-date with current regulations and standards.
- Provide advice and guidance to fee earners and other departments regarding risk management and compliance matters.
- Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and other governing bodies.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in compliance and civil litigation is essential.
- Ideally, the successful candidate will be qualified (legal executive, solicitor etc).
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance procedures.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
