Position Description
A reputable law firm in Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join their team in Ashton-under-Lyne. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and skilled conveyancer to further their career within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of residential conveyancing matters, from initial instruction through to completion.
- Handle all aspects of residential property transactions, including leaseholds, flats, and shared ownerships.
- Conduct title checks, draft contracts, and deal with enquiries raised by the buyer's solicitor.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and regulations throughout the conveyancing process.
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties to ensure smooth and timely transactions.
- Provide clear, professional, and timely communication to clients, keeping them informed of progress and advising on any issues that arise.
- Utilise the firm's case management system to maintain accurate records of all transactions.
- Work collaboratively with a secretary and conveyancing assistant, delegating tasks where appropriate to ensure efficient workflow.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in residential conveyancing, with a strong understanding of leaseholds, flats, and shared ownership properties.
- Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision, ensuring all transactions are completed in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication and client care skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters in a clear and accessible way.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Experience with case management systems and legal software.
