Position Description
A reputable multi-service law firm located in the beautiful Lake District is seeking a Private Family Solicitor to join their established Family Law Team in the Kendal office. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a stunning location with a diverse and engaging caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a varied caseload of private family law matters, including divorce, financial settlements, cohabitation disputes, private children matter, and prenuptial agreements.
- Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients, ensuring their best interests are represented with compassion and professionalism.
- Conduct negotiations and facilitate settlements, striving for amicable resolutions where possible.
- Represent clients in court proceedings when necessary, advocating effectively on their behalf.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering exceptional client care and support throughout the legal process.
- Stay informed about changes in family law legislation and regulations, continually updating your knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
- Qualified Family Solicitor or Lawyer with a minimum of 2 years PQE in private family law matters.
- Extensive experience in handling a range of family law cases, including divorce, financial settlements, children matter, and related areas.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of current family law legislation and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise with clients and handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with the ability to work towards favourable outcomes for clients.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage a demanding caseload and meet deadlines.
- Proactive and self-motivated, demonstrating a commitment to providing high-quality legal services.
