Legal Secretary



Salary: £20,000 - £28,000

Job Type: Full Time

Position Description

As a Legal Secretary, you will play a vital role in providing administrative and secretarial support to lawyers and other legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support, including managing correspondence, document preparation, and file management.
  • Assisting with the drafting and formatting of legal documents, such as letters, contracts, and court forms.
  • Scheduling appointments, meetings, and court appearances for lawyers.
  • Handling incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate individuals.
  • Managing calendars and arranging travel arrangements for legal professionals.
  • Liaising with clients, counsel, and other external stakeholders.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and databases.
  • Assisting with billing and invoicing processes.
  • Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information.
  • Adhering to confidentiality and data protection regulations.


  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using legal software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent typing and transcription skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documents.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor and a proactive approach to work.
