Position Description
As a Legal Secretary, you will play a vital role in providing administrative and secretarial support to lawyers and other legal professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support, including managing correspondence, document preparation, and file management.
- Assisting with the drafting and formatting of legal documents, such as letters, contracts, and court forms.
- Scheduling appointments, meetings, and court appearances for lawyers.
- Handling incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate individuals.
- Managing calendars and arranging travel arrangements for legal professionals.
- Liaising with clients, counsel, and other external stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and databases.
- Assisting with billing and invoicing processes.
- Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information.
- Adhering to confidentiality and data protection regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
- Proficiency in using legal software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent typing and transcription skills.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documents.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
