Legal Practice Manager

Position Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Practice Manager to join one of Lancashire's leading multi-office law firms.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Equity Partners to plan and organise the overall running of the firm, ensuring its efficiency and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee SRA Accounts Compliance and financial management, maintaining accuracy and transparency in financial operations.
  • Manage HR matters, including recruitment, employee performance, training, and employee well-being initiatives.
  • Streamline operating processes to enhance overall productivity and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with relevant legal and professional standards.
  • Implement strategies for business development and growth, in coordination with the firm's partners.
  • Provide effective leadership to the support staff, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to optimise firm performance.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations and legislation affecting the legal industry, ensuring the firm remains compliant.

Requirements:

  • Proven management experience in a substantial legal or similar professional organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, driving organisational success.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in SRA Accounts Compliance.
  • Excellent understanding of HR management and employment law.
  • Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Familiarity with legal practice management software is advantageous.
  • Candidates from non-legal backgrounds with relevant management experience will be considered.
