Position Description
An established law firm in Macclesfield is seeking a Housing Disrepair Lawyer to join their team. This role is ideal for a legal professional with at least three years' experience of managing their own caseload of Housing Disrepair claims and who is looking for an opportunity to grow within a reputable and supportive firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a full caseload of Housing Disrepair claims from initial instruction to conclusion.
- Ensure compliance with statutory legislation and relevant case law, providing expert advice to clients throughout the process.
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and communicate effectively with clients, opposing solicitors, and experts.
- Work independently and handle cases with minimal supervision, ensuring accuracy and timely progression of cases.
- Maintain a high level of client care, keeping clients updated and informed throughout their case.
- Meet performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring the efficient management of cases.
- Conduct negotiations and settlements, while preparing cases for litigation when necessary.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years' experience in handling your own caseload of Housing Disrepair claims.
- Strong knowledge of Housing Disrepair law, statutory legislation, and relevant case law.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing a busy caseload efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills.
