Position Description

An expanding law firm in Manchester is seeking a Housing Disrepair Fee Earner to join their team. The successful candidate will have experience in managing a caseload of housing disrepair cases and will be responsible for handling a variety of claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload of housing disrepair cases from inception to conclusion.
  • Providing clients with legal advice and guidance on their housing disrepair claims.
  • Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, witness statements, and schedules of loss.
  • Attending court hearings and other meetings as required.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of new strategies to improve service delivery.


  • A qualified Solicitor / Legal Executive or experienced fee earner with at least 2 years' experience in managing housing disrepair claims.
  • Strong technical knowledge of housing disrepair law and regulations.
  • Experience in drafting legal documents and providing advice to clients on housing disrepair matters.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Driven, motivated, and passionate about delivering excellent client care.
  • A team player who is willing to work collaboratively to achieve common goals.
