Position Description
An award-winning law firm is seeking an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to join their team. This role primarily involves dealing with health and welfare cases in the Court of Protection, managing a caseload of welfare matters, including applications pursuant to s16 and s21A of the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of health and welfare cases for vulnerable adults.
- Handle applications under s16 and s21A of the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Work on sensitive and complex cases involving significant life decisions.
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with a current practicing certificate or a Legal Executive with relevant experience.
- Experience in applications under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Legal Aid Community Care Supervisor standard and Law Society Accreditation in Mental Capacity (“ALR”) are desirable but not essential.
