Civil Litigation Manager

Position Description

A specialist law firm in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a legal professional with a strong background in litigation to take on a leadership role, overseeing a diverse caseload and mentoring a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team consisting of Solicitors, Fee Earners, Trainee Solicitors, and Legal Assistants.
  • Oversee a variety of cases, including Housing Disrepair, Personal Injury, Japanese Knotweed, and Data Breach claims.
  • Ensure high standards of case management and legal compliance, adhering to all relevant legal procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team on legal issues and case strategies.
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and apply this to the litigation process.
  • Manage both fast track and multi-track claims efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare legal documents, and represent clients in court when required.

Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years of litigation experience.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules.
  • Proven experience in managing and supervising a legal team.
  • Excellent litigation and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to handle fast track and/or multi-track claims.
