Position Description

An established nationwide law firm is seeking a Care Solicitor to join their growing Family Department. This is a key role that involves handling all aspects of childcare work, including legal aid cases. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending conferences, representing clients in court, and contributing to the development and growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload covering all aspects of childcare work.
  • Handle legal aid cases.
  • Attend conferences and undertake advocacy in court.
  • Take initiative to develop and grow the department, including building upon existing contacts.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior colleagues (experience in this area is advantageous).

Requirements:

  • Solicitor with at least 1 year of PQE (consideration given to those with up to 10 years PQE).
  • Child Panel Accreditation is not required but motivation to achieve it is preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-office firm.
  • Excellent client care skills, with the ability to support vulnerable clients.
  • Client following and business development skills (desirable but not essential).
  • Advocacy experience (desirable but not essential).

Job Requirements
