Position Description
Are you an experienced advocate looking for a change of direction? Are you a criminal solicitor seeking to move away from duty schemes and call outs? If you enjoy advocacy work and are open to undertaking a new area of law, we have an exciting opportunity for you to work on environmental prosecutions in the Magistrates court.
This is a chance to use your advocacy skills in a different legal context and expand your expertise in environmental law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting advocacy in environmental prosecutions at the Magistrates court.
- Providing legal advice and guidance to clients on environmental law matters.
- Building strong client relationships and delivering excellent client care.
- Conducting legal research and staying up-to-date with relevant legislation.
- Assisting in the preparation of cases and managing case files.
- Collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure effective case management.
- Adhering to professional ethics and maintaining confidentiality.
To succeed in this role, you should be a capable advocate with excellent client care skills and a willingness to take on new challenges. You must have a solid understanding of legal principles and procedures, as well as the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and the court.
